General Manager
Darryl is a passionate advocate for community, connection, and inclusivity through sport. As a key leader at Pickleplex Pickering, he’s known for creating a welcoming environment for players of all levels, drawing from his journey from a chance substitute in a seniors’ group to a 4.0 doubles player and NCCP Level 1 Certified Instructor.
Coach Vince Lavoie
Tournament Director & Coach
With over 20 years as a Fire Captain, Vince brings leadership, dedication, and a competitive spirit to the pickleball court. A Certified Level 1 Coach and multi-time medalist at regional, provincial, and national levels, he’s passionate about growing the game and helping others succeed. Known for his strategic approach and engaging coaching style, Vince supports players of all levels while fostering a positive, respectful, and inclusive pickleball community.
Coach John Tillo
Head Coach
Coach John is a Certified Level 2 Coach and 4.0+ player who helps beginners and intermediates elevate their game to tournament level. With a background in Continuous Improvement, he focuses on identifying root causes and building on player strengths. Known for his fun, intentional training sessions, John blends skill development with strategy to ensure every player enjoys their pickleball journey.
